X is the upcoming sixth studio album by American recording artist Chris Brown. It is scheduled to be released on September 16, 2014 by RCA Records.
Preceding the album’s release was the lead single “Fine China”, which was a moderate success reaching number 31 on the Billboard Hot 100 in the United States and peaking inside the top forty of several international markets. It’s second single, “Don’t Think They Know” was commercial unsuccessful, failing to make an impact on most global charts. “Love More” was released as the third single on the album, and has reached number 23 on the Billboard Hot 100, and peaked inside the top forty of several international markets.
“Loyal” was released as the fourth and most successful single on the album so far, peaking at number 9 on the Billboard Hot 100 and at number 10 in the United Kingdom. “New Flame” was released as the fifth single which was another moderate success peaking at number 36 on the Billboard Hot 100. On August 22, it was announced that “X” would become the sixth single on the album. To further promote the album, Brown performed and appeared at several televised events and music festivals across the United States.
